Iliza Shlesinger

 Iliza Vie Schlesinger, born on February 22nd 1983 was an American comedian, actress and executive producer. She was a finalist on NBC's Last Comic Standing 2008 and hosts the syndicated dating program Excused as well as the TBS show Separation Anxiety.





 Shlesinger hosted Truth and Iliza (Freeform) in 2017 on her own late-night talkshow. She has six Netflix comedy specials. The sketch comedy series The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show debuted on Netflix in April 2020.



 Iliza Vie Shlesinger was born New York City to a Jewish family. She grew up in Dallas, Texas, where her family moved to Dallas when she was just a little girl. She attended Addison's private Greenhill School, Texas where she learned Spanish and was part of the school's improv group.





 Shlesinger was a performer at ComedySportz Dallas and was a freshman at the University of Kansas. She also participated in Semester at Sea. Then she was accepted to Emerson College, Boston, Massachusetts. She majored in film. While there she developed editing and writing skills and was a part of Jimmy's Traveling All Stars, a comedy group that plays on campus.

 After graduation from college, Shlesinger moved to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy. She was one of the most well-known members of the Whiteboy Comedy group of standup comedians in Los Angeles, which brought her to the stage of The Improv in Hollywood.
